Students in the Sabaragamuwa Province who are unable to attend their G.C.E. Ordinary Level aesthetic practical examinations because of flooding will be given an alternative date, examination authorities have confirmed.
Commissioner General of Examinations A. K. S. Indika Kumari Liyanage assured affected candidates that missing a practical session due to the weather will not prevent them from completing their assessments.
Candidates who cannot travel safely have been asked to contact their examination centres once floodwaters recede, so that arrangements can be made for them to sit the missed practicals on a later date.
The decision aims to make sure that weather-related travel problems do not put any student at a disadvantage in the national examination.
