By England defeated Sri Lanka by 55 runs in their Pakistan ODI Tri-Series match in Lahore on Thursday.
After Sri Lanka elected to field, England piled up 386 for 5 in their 50 overs, with opener Ben Duckett leading the way. Sri Lanka’s reply ended on 331, all out in 45.1 overs.
The result does not affect Sri Lanka’s place in the final, where they will take on hosts Pakistan in Lahore on 31 October.
Sri Lanka’s bowlers will be keen to tighten up in the death overs after conceding big totals in both their games against England this series.
